Rummage Sale Planning Meeting
Sunday, April 19, 11:45 am Firesdie

RUMMAGE SALE.png

The rummage sale is coming up fast and we need to put all our ducks in a row to make this another successful event! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We no longer have a single event coordinator and need folks willing to take on portions of the planning and leadership. This includes teams for volunteer coordination and oversight, an "executive committee" to coordinate all the parts, advertising/signage and marketing, and a clean up committee to coordinate what happens to the leftovers. We may need some department leads as well.

If you are interested in helping to plan as well as volunteer, please attend this meeting.

There will be sign up sheets in the following weeks at Mix n Mingle for volunteers for departments,
sorting, cashiering, floor help, clean up, set up, etc. It takes everyone to pitch in wherever you can,
however much you can, even if it's just a bit.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

Ranch Bathing
Thursday, April 23, 1pm at the Wurst Ranch

Jane Wurst would like to invite you to immerse your senses in Nature at our Ranch in North Auburn.

Ranch Bathing is a rendition of “Forest Bathing” which is a practice introduced by the Japanese. The term refers to immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest (no actual bathing required). The intent is to put people in touch with a present-moment experience in Nature. The sights, sounds, smells of the forest (Ranch) can ground us in the present moment, so that our brain can stop all the chatter and be refreshed and our nervous system can calm down.

  • Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged and park at the corrals

  • Participants should wear sturdy shoes for walking on uneven ground and bring their own folding camp chair, water, a journal or notebook, and pen.

  • We will all gather loosely in a circle up near the house.

The Format of the Experience

Jane will facilitate and lead the participants through the following:

  1. Opening comments

  2. Instructions for wandering the property

  3. Guided meditation and breathwork to shift from “getting here, to being here”

  4. Short reading/poem that helps the participants tune in to the natural setting around them.

  5. Experiencing “Ranch Bathing,” approx. 30 minutes

  6. Return in silence for journaling

  7. Sharing and parting comments

Please RSVP directly to Jane

(number can be found in the church directory or call the office)

Life2Song Presentation
Sunday, April 26, 11:15 am Sanctuary

Headphones on Sheet

Music Director Colin Martin will lead a special presentation about the Life2Song process.

Life2Song is a simple yet powerful offering that invites people to share their real-life stories and have them transformed into personalized songs. Through heartfelt conversation and deep listening, these songs reflect the beauty, challenges, and meaning within each person’s journey—often bringing clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of connection. No musical background is needed; in fact, many who don’t consider themselves musicians find it especially impactful, as it gently opens the door to experiencing music as a natural and expressive part of being human. At the end of this month, you’re warmly invited to stay after service for a special presentation where Colin will share more about the Life2Song process and offer a few live examples of songs created through the program—an opportunity to experience firsthand how music can deepen connection, storytelling, and community.

Volunteers Needed!

Breakfast Volunteers:

We are always looking for volunteers and our Sunday morning cooking is a great fellowship time.  Anyone interested in hall setup, meal prep, cooking, or cleanup please contact Dave Glover. Anyone can join in: men, women, youth – cooking experience not required!

Mix & Mingle Volunteers:

Thank you again to all of our Mix and Mingle volunteers who continue to make our weekly gathering such a success. While we have, for years, relied on two persons each Sunday, beginning in January, we hope to have an optional third person assist. That third person may just volunteer to bring cookies/treats or they could assist with prep and cleanup as well. Everyone enjoys our Mix and Mingle, but we just need a bit more help. Please contact Theresa Roeder if you are able to help us once or twice in the coming year. Thank you so
much!

Sunday School Volunteers:

We're looking for spare hands to help with Sunday School as an aide. Our goal is to have a group of folks so that individuals will be helping once every three months or so. Men and women, young and old, it's your chance to hang for about 45 minutes with some of the funnest folks at church! Please stop by Pilgrim Hall before or after church for more information.
